I was wanting to try out the games on this thing and figured a good place to go get them was the same place I get my ringtones, (which I haven't tried with this phone yet but heard rumors that the ring tones are no problem with this phone), so I hopped onto Myxer and logged into my account.  First disappointing fact was that the phone wasn't logged into their supported system, so I had to deselect all phones and hope for the best.  But then I thought I would at least try to send a game to my phone like I have sent ringtones.  I found a game and it simply said I was not supported.  So, figuring that my phone should be new enough and work well, I decided to go to Myxer support, which has in the past and even this time been a pleasure to work with.  Here's my question to them and their resopnse...

Hello there,

We did a lot of testing for your phone (R-series) in the past and
unfortunately, we have not had much luck with your phone and carrier.
We also did try to send it as an attachment (PIX message), but it seems
like that it needs to be in a multimedia message (MMS). We currently
don't support sending it like a multimedia message, so you're out of
luck for now. Sorry.

You can try this out, but we don't grantee that it will always work,
it's more of a last resort. You can try to save the ringtone to your
computer and then somehow transfer it to your phone.
You can save the ringtone to your computer by following the link we send
to your phone from your desktop browser.  Go to My Account --> Phone
Details and set the SMS Address field to your email address and we will
send the link to your email address instead of your phone. Then you need
to find a way to transfer the ringtone from your computer to your phone,
you would need something like a USB cable or storage/flash drive or
something similar to accomplish this.

If you have any other questions, feel free to contact us.
Good Luck!

Description:        I purchased the Samsung Delve the other day through
US Cellular. Unfortunately I do not currently see it on your list of
supported phones. I wanted to try to see if games would work on it. Is
there anything I can do to try and at least put a game on it and see if
it'll work?  Or is this something you know for certain that will not
work?

Thanks for the help!!
Mobile Carrier:     US Cellular
Phone Manufacturer: Samsung
Phone Model:        Delve

So I was wondering if anyone else has gotten this to work using US Cellular and this phone? (hell, even if you have Alltel, did it work?)

Any insight is much appreciated!!

I sent a similar message, looking for some help. I got the exact same answer. Pretty much word for word, and I'm on Alltel.

Actually, when I went to the store they said the phone was still really new, so it wasn't even all compatible with things. I think... if we give it a couple of months or something... things might improve. Or I'm hoping anyway. Smiley

Yeah... it would be great though if they would actually give us a shot at it.  Although they did give that idea which I still haven't fully ready yet that I might give a try.  The point of the matter is, though, that they likely haven't tried *this* phone, as it appears to be different than almost any Samsung phone... To at least send it their "normal" way wouldn't hurt anything, and it would be great to give it a shot with the high impression it won't work.

Oh well... such is life.
