The guy at the Alltel/Verizon store gave me this web site.
www.phonescoop.com it seems AT&T is going to take over some of the remaining Alltel markets. Does this mean the begining of the end for Alltel?
I went to that link but could not find an article related to AT&T taking over any Alltel markets. I got my letter from Alltel today stating I will be switched over to the Verizion network within the next 60 days, and any and all Alltel equipment and contracts stay the same until your contract is up. AT&T is Verizions only big competitor, so I doubt any Alltel markets would be going to AT&T.
On a side note, I just switched from Charter Cable high-speed internet to AT&T high-speed DSL. Charter charged over $60 tax for their cheapest package with speeds of 5MB download/500KB upload and AT&T charges $45+tax for speeds of 6MB download/600KB upload. The difference is very noticeable and my speedtests have consistently made AT&T the winner with an average of 5,200kbps download/700kbps upload compared to Charters 4,600kbps down/550kbps up. And who says cable is faster than DSL? lol As for AT&T wireless cell service, they just offered me the same smartplan for an iphone for $10 a month cheaper and unlimited texts, I have the "pay per text" plan now. So when I'm up for contract on my Delve I may be switching, all depends on what Verizion will have to offer. Sad to say but this Delve is definitely a short-term phone for me.
